It’s the biggest month of the year for college basketball, it’s March madness time! Perhaps the most anticipated part of it all is the filling out one’s bracket before the tournament starts. This post will walk you through just how to do that in three easy steps!

Do Your Research

For those really wanting their bracket to do well, my recommendation is to first do your research. Have you been watching games during preseason? Do you have some sort of idea of which teams are most likely to end up in the final four? These are the type of questions you must ask yourself before filling out your bracket. If you haven’t been watching games, I would recommend looking at past game stats, specifically which teams were the powerhouse of their conference. Because you did your research, you will be able to make more confident decisions when filling out your bracket.

Fill It Out!

After you feel confident in your research, you then can fill out your bracket! The specifics of this part is personal preference. For example, I like to start on one side of my bracket and completely fill it out before starting on the other side. On the other hand, some people like to fill out both sides at the same time, going by the date of each game. As said before, it is completely up to you! Make strategic decisions based on your knowledge of stand out teams and possible upset games.

Enter Your Bracket into Desired Bracket Competitions

There are numerous bracket competitions happening all over the country. Some competition’s rewards can total up to $1 million dollars. Competitions happen in families, big companies, and small business, and through tournament broadcasters like ESPN. The President of the United States will even fill out their bracket live on TV most years! I hope this helps in filling out your own bracket – good luck!
